Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Larkana Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Larkana (BISE Larkana) is a Board of Education in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. It is responsible for the promotion and development of secondary and higher secondary education in the region. The Board was established in 1950 under the West Pakistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance, No. X of 1950. The Board is an autonomous body which is empowered to prescribe courses of instructions and textbooks, and conduct examinations for secondary school level students in the region.
The Board has jurisdiction over the districts of Larkana, Kairpur Mirs, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Kashmore. BISE Larkana is one of the largest boards in Pakistan with over 2000 affiliated schools and colleges. The Board conducts examinations twice a year, in May/June and November/December, for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) level students respectively.
